Excellent food and service. Do yourself a favor and try the pulled pork egg rolls and brisket. You can thank me later.

The first time I went there the food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but the quality of the food made up for it.
The second (and last) time I went, we had to wait because the waitress forgot us. The food came out and there wasn't a lot to it. I thought I'd make the best of it but the first bite I took of my sandwich caused me to gag. It had a big white strip of fat (or something else) in it. I took the bun off and saw more strips of fat. It was disgusting and I've not been back. -

This was our first time here. We both got two meat plates with two sides each. My favorite meat was the chopped brisket. It didn't need any sauce though there were many to choose from. I got slaw and baked beans and Hubby got fries and a pasta salad. I look forward to trying the ribs. There is also a shrimp/catfish special on Fridays I want to try.

Food was good and priced fairly. (As for what I ordered) Awesome that they have several different types of BBQ sauce to try with the meal. I would tell advise people to check the place out. Friendly staff.

The restaurant sits right on US 23 and with the large BBQ flags out front it's easy to find. The front door puts you right into the dining room, maybe 10-12 tables total and six or so stools at the counter. Ashley greeted us with a smile and immediately sat us at a table and took our drink order. There is not a wide variety on the menu, but it's a BBQ place and they offer the standard...pulled pork, pulled chicken, and beef brisket. They offer plates, a few sandwiches and a couple of different salads. I ordered a plate, two meats (pulled chicken and brisket), coleslaw and cornbread salad. The BBQ sauces offered were peach, apple, bourbon, and mustard...each with their own bold flavor and a little kick to finish them off. Everything was delicious...had nice flavors, fresh, and good size portions.
It was about 5:30pm on a Friday and not long after we arrived all the tables were occupied.
The Red Velvet cheesecake appeared to a popular dessert, I saw many being served. So, I ordered a piece to go.
When I pass by again I will definitely stop by this unique Texas BBQ joint in Virginia. Bon Appetit!
